Tibet Genocide File

In 1959, the International Commission of Jurists found evidence that Communist China had "committed acts of genocide in Tibet, with the intention of destroying the Tibetan nation and the Buddhist religion." Despite this early recognition, systematic research into Tibet's genocide was overlooked in favor of focusing on "human rights abuses." Guided by Raphael Lemkin's definition of genocide as "a coordinated plan of different actions aiming at the destruction of essential foundations of the life of national groups," High Asia has initiated the Tibet Genocide Research Project to document this ongoing systematic campaign to eradicate Tibetans as a people and nation.
